5G test in Amsterdam Central Station (Netherlands): real 739 Mbps on KPN
Amsterdam Central Station: our September 16, 2026 field test using an eSIM connected to KPN on 5G measured 739.34 Mbps download, 54.30 Mbps upload and 6 ms latency. This proprietary result describes that place and moment; it does not represent all coverage in Netherlands. The published screenshot, time and protocol allow the measurement to be checked and cited with its context.

We measured the real mobile speed in Amsterdam Central Station, from the central station, on 16/09/2026. With our eSIM connected to KPN on 5G, the test shows 739.34 Mbps download, 54.30 Mbps upload and 6 ms latency. That is fibre-like speeds, measured in real travel conditions.
To put that in context: at 739 Mbps an offline map downloads in seconds, a video call runs without a stutter and HD video starts instantly. Most travellers use only a fraction of this bandwidth.
In Amsterdam Central Station, the connection easily handles GPS, video calls, social media, tethering and streaming.
